Who?

I’m a UK-based screenwriter with an interest in historical fiction, absurdist comedy, and blended genres. I’m particularly drawn to working-class stories, underdog characters, and history with a purpose. I want nothing more than to make people feel a little less lonely through my work.

I grew up in Bramley, Leeds - the armpit of the North. After dabbling in poetry, prose, and plays, I tried my hand at academia and graduated with a B.A in History from Churchill College, Cambridge (2016). Instead of reading ancient tomes for the rest of my life, I finished M.A in Screenwriting at the National Film & Television School (2020).

Fast facts: I’ve been a bouncer, despite my Napoleonic height. I once shared gummy bears with Archbishop Desmond Tutu. I was interrogated by the FBI over declassified Vietnam War documents. I make grand Yorkshire puddings.

Below is a selection of my projects: short films, games, and audio/plays.
